Carolann Wicks Sworn in as DelDOT SecretaryCarolann Wicks was officially sworn in as the eighth Secretary of Transportation on February 1, 2006 at the DelDOT Administration headquarters in Dover to a standing-room only crowd of co-workers, friends and family of the Secretary, and numerous State and local officials. Ms. Wicks, 45, most recently held the positions of Chief Engineer for the Department, and the Director of the Division of Transportation Solutions. Ms. Wicks has worked at the Department for more than 23 years, serving in several capacities, including Assistant Chief Engineer and Assistant Director for the Project Management Team. She is a member of the American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Standing Committee on Highways and the AASHTO Transportation and Education Management Institute Steering Committee. She also is a member of the American Association of State Highway Engineers. Additionally, Carolann is a licensed engineer and has a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and a master's degree in public administration from the University of Delaware.
