In an email sent to the webmaster of the DelDOT website recently, we read the following message....

"I want you to know that I am able to view intersection cameras near my house. I am presently deployed at a forward operating bomber base in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. One afternoon I actually saw my wife passing through on her way to pick up our son at school. It's hard to convey the feeling I got when I discovered this site. I bet you never knew this site would be used so far from home. THANKS so much for making it easy to see Delaware so far away!"

A subsequent email from TSgt. Fisher read as follows....

"After having a very bad day I turned to the traffic camera in hopes of catching a glimpse of my very best friend... my wife. Well I didn't get to see my wife but I did get to see the beautiful fall colors. Something else, besides my family, that I miss very much."

Technology sure provides us some rare opportunities once in a while, and what a great thing for TSgt. Fisher to be able to experience!   We are so pleased that the service DelDOT has provided was able to benefit him in such a special way. We thought his story was so touching and unique that we asked his permission to feature it on our website and share it with you.

We greatly appreciate TSgt. Fisher's taking the time to let us know about his experience. It was wonderful to hear about it and we are happy to have been able to provide a service that offered such a personal event. It's nice to know we were able to bring a little bit of Delaware to someone so far from home.
