The project limits are Myrtle Avenue, from the Philadelphia Pike to the Claymont Train Station.
Myrtle Avenue is the only vehicular access to the Claymont Train Station and one of only two pedestrian accesses to it. The currently road does not have any sidewalks or pedestrian facilities.
The project is currently proposed to construct a sidewalk from Philadelphia Pike to the train station. Street lighting and drainage will also be addressed as part of the project.
A contract for the project has been awarded. Construction will commence in the spring of 2017. Construction is anticipated to finish in 2017.
