SR 2/SR 7 Intersection Improvements involved improvements in operations, safety and capacity at the intersection in the least disruptive way to the community.

This project included:

• Extensive planning measures to minimize impacts to the community
• An aggressive project schedule that was accomplished within the budget
• Combined work tasks that avoided future construction in the same area
• Special A+B bidding procedures
• A noise waiver to decrease duration of the project
• Cost effective upgrade to adjacent bridge approaches, which estimated a total savings of approximately $20,000.
• Before and after capacity/operational analysis which demonstrated an improvement in Level Of Service.
