Norfolk Southern Railroad Shellpot Swing Bridge

Project Description

Restoration to service of the Shellpot Swing Bridge, a railroad bridge across the Christina River in Wilmington, originally constructed in 1888 and out of service due to deteriorated material condition since 1994.

Award Recipients: David W. Campbell, Nathan Hayward III, Thomas C. Hienrich (Norfolk Southern), William Sears (Zeta-Tech Associates).
