Microsoft VM for Java will only be supported until December 31, 2007. Microsoft and Sun Microsystems came to an agreement that extended Microsoft's support of the VM to allow users to transition to the Sun Java.
More info can be found here:  http://www.microsoft.com/mscorp/java

We would recommend that you install the latest version of Sun Java for Windows. After the latest version of Java is installed, then open IE, go to Tools, Internet Options, and click on the Advanced Tab. Scroll down until you see a Section Java (Sun) and make sure the check box underneath is "checked". Then "uncheck" everything that is under the section called Microsoft VM. This will ensure that you are using only the Java (Sun) Version.
