NVF Company/Red Clay Valley Association Named Adopt-A-Highway Group of the Quarter

For Period July-September 2008

Dover -- The Delaware Department of Transportation's (DelDOT) Adopt-A-Highway (AAH) Program announces that NVF Company/Red Clay Valley Association is the distinguished Group of the Quarter for the period of July-September 2008. This group collected 16 tons of litter earlier this spring during their 20th Annual Red Clay Valley Cleanup, which encompasses their adopted stretch of Route 82 between the Ashland Nature Center and the Pennsylvania state, as well as the surrounding area.

The Red Clay Valley Association, a non-profit conservation organization founded in 1952, is committed to promoting and protecting the natural resources of the Red Clay Valley through technical assistance and research projects, as well as through environmental education programs and demonstration projects for all ages.
"The NVF Company and Red Clay Valley Association is very appreciative of this honor. It is due to the various partnerships with the Delaware Nature Society, DelDOT, private businesses and most importantly the community that we are able to make such a difference in the community," says Jim Jordan, Managing Director for the Red Clay Valley Association.

Being designated as the Group of the Quarter has its privileges. Not only does it make Delaware's roadsides cleaner, safer and healthier for everyone, the group receives public recognition. DelDOT posts a special "thank you" sign under their existing AAH sign, they are featured on DelDOT's Web site (www.deldot.gov), they receive an award certificate and their hometown newspaper is informed of their service in the community.

All of this results in promotion of the group and the people associated with the organization. And that is what AAH is all about - people making a difference in their community.

DelDOT congratulates the NVF Company and Red Clay Valley Association on earning the title of AAH Group of the Quarter.
