On Thursday, May 21, 2026, two large, corrugated metal culvert pipes partially collapsed on Lorewood Road over Joy Run.

Wilmington -- The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces to motorists the next major phase switch is scheduled for Saturday night, April 25th through Sunday, April 26th.

· 6:00 pm-Close and detour Exit 5A (NB I-95 to Airport Road)-detour is Exit 5B

· 6:00 pm-NB I-95 Single right lane closure at Rt 1

· 8:00 pm-NB I- 95 lane reduction (three thru lanes on NB I-95)

· 11:00 pm-NB I-95 lane reduction from Rt 1 to Airport Road Exit 5A (1 thru lane on NB I-95)

· 10:00 am-All lanes and ramps open to traffic
