Middletown -- The Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces that the roundabout at the intersection of Choptank Road and Bethel Church Roads, west of Middletown, is completed and is open for traffic. However, Choptank Road is still closed from the entrance to the Back Creek neighborhood to the just-completed roundabout at Bethel Church Road. The closed section of road will be open to local traffic to those few residents who live along that stretch of road. [More]

Crossover Closure at Route 113 and Arrow Safety Road in Georgetown

Georgetown -- The Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces that it has implemented a median crossover closure at US 113 and Arrow Safety Road in Georgetown effective in late December. US 113 southbound traffic will no longer be able to turn left off of US 113 onto Arrow Safety Road, and will need to travel to Shortly Road and US 113 to make a u-turn to go north to access Arrow Safety Road. Emergency Road Closure: Old Furnace Road Closed Due to Bridge Pipe Failure

Georgetown -- The Department of Transportation advises motorists that Bridge 3-240 on Old Furnace Rd. between Rd. 529/Cokesbury Rd. and Rementer Road west of Georgetown is closed due to a pipe failure and road undermining. DelDOT Bridge Maintenance crews were onsite this morning examining the pipe failure, bridge structure and roadway to determine the extent of damage and needed repair.
