The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) is holding a Public Workshop to solicit public input on the Route 1, Little Heaven Grade Separated Intersection Project. The workshop will be on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at the Bowers Fire Hall, 3285 Main Street, Frederica. The public is invited to attend any time between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
The workshop will present displays showing the overpass design plans of Route 1 and Bowers Beach Road, along with the corresponding service roads improvements between Mulberrie Point Road and Barratts Chapel Road. The intersection improvements are part of the long-term safety improvements to the Route 1 Corridor in Kent and Sussex counties. This project is currently being designed and is scheduled for construction in 2010 as part of DelDOT's current Capital Transportation Program for Fiscal Year 2008-2013. |

Interested persons are invited to express their views in writing, giving reasons for support of or in opposition to, the proposed project. Comments will be received during the workshop or can be mailed to DelDOT Public Relations, P.O. Box 778, Dover, DE 19903. When applicable, we offer the opportunity to fill out a questionnaire online which will automatically get emailed to Public Relations.
