DelDOT’s Bridge Maintenance & Construction section oversees bridge repairs, rehabilitations, retrofits and preservation activities for all State maintained structures. DelDOT identifies repairs based on need, budgets and anticipated benefits to both the structure and the traveling public. Our goals are to enhance safety, maintain a state of good repair, and to extend the service life on Delaware’s existing bridges. Our projects are issued as work orders through open-end structure maintenance contracts, which are carried out on the District level by third party contractors.
