Virtual Workshop for T201904601-Park Avenue Relocation, Phase 2

The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) is seeking public input on the proposed widening of Park Avenue (US 9 Truck) to accommodate turn lanes and shoulders from west of Cedar Lane to US 9 near Georgetown, Sussex County. The project also includes widening along Lewes Georgetown Highway (US 9) and Shingle Point Road to accommodate turn lanes. The proposed project continues improvements initiated under the Park Avenue Relocation Phase 1 project which seek to improve traffic operations and safety of the US 9 truck bypass from east of Georgetown to US 113. The purpose of this workshop is to present the semifinal design and update the public on the final design and construction schedule. Display plans and project information will be provided in .pdf format for public review and comment. Attendees will also have the option to download materials from the site.

The public will be able to access the site and provide comment for a 30-day period beginning September 27, 2021. In addition, a live virtual workshop will be conducted on October 13, 2021. A presentation will be conducted at 4:00 pm that afternoon followed by an online question and answer session. Project team members will be available during that time to answer project related questions. A recording of the workshop will be available on the website following the workshop.
