Events
This page highlights Delaware freight summits organized and facilitated by the Institute for Public Administration (IPA) at the University of Delaware. These summits bring together transportation agencies, industry representatives, and freight stakeholders to share information, discuss emerging trends, and coordinate on freight-related issues affecting Delaware and the surrounding region.
These summits feature presentations on topics such as freight planning initiatives, port and rail operations, truck parking and travel patterns, emerging technologies, and statewide and regional freight strategies. Speakers include representatives from DelDOT, other state DOTs, freight-dependent industries, consultants, and economic development organizations.
The events serve as a forum to exchange ideas, showcase ongoing studies and tools, and strengthen collaboration across the freight community. Materials from each summit are provided to help the public and stakeholders better understand freight activities, challenges, and opportunities in Delaware.
