7:00 am – 1:00 pm
GENERAL INFORMATION:
The Department of Transportation and Delaware Bicycle Council are proud to support the Legislative Bike to Dover! Senator Sokola sponsors this semi-formal ride with routes beginning from New Castle County and Sussex County, ending at Legislative Mall in Dover. The starting point for New Castle riders is Middletown Square at 8:45 a.m. (30-miles).
The starting point for Sussex-Kent riders is Milford Square in front of Tractor Supply Company at 9:15 a.m. (24-miles) and Mike & Mel’s Family Restaurant in Camden-Wyoming at 10:45 a.m. (4-miles). There will be rest stops for both the New Castle and Sussex routes. Each group leader will try to accommodate joining riders as best as possible, but this is not guaranteed. Both groups will meet at Eden Hill at 11:30 a.m. to ride in unity for the last segment to Legislative Hall.
There will be no scheduled refreshment stops along the routes. However, if needing replenishment please visit one of the local convenience stores or restaurants.
All participants will receive a free Bike Month T-shirt.
